A chef wearing a white chef's jacket and fleur de list tattoo on his right arm is holding out dish that contains the Bayou Benny. A staple dish of Thibodeaux's Cajun Kitchen, the Bayou Benny is french bread, topped with a boudin patty with a dark roux chicken and sausage gumbo poured all around it, and topped with a poached egg and some green onions.

Who We Are

Chef Matt Thibodeaux loves to cook Cajun food, talk about the Cajun culture, and spend time with his family. He has found a way to do all three things by creating Thibodeaux's Cajun Kitchen.

After more than a decade in the military and multiple tours overseas, Matt began studying the culinary world. When a stage request turned into a cooking gig at Rye's downtown McKinney location, Matt knew he had finally found a way to continue serving others while staying close to home.

His combination of research, creativity, and passion help Matt serve up some of the best Cajun food in Texas.
